Julie Miller Vick is Senior Associate Director of Career Services at the University of Pennsylvania. She is co-author of the Academic Job Search Handbook (University of Pennsylvania Press, fourth ed., 2008) and several other publications. She also co-writes frequent columns for the online version of the Chronicle of Higher Education on career-related issues. She has also written articles for the Philadelphia Inquirer on family and raising children. She and husband, Jim Vick live in Haddonfield, NJ, outside of Philadelphia where they are both avid readers. Their three adult children live in Toronto, Philadelphia and soon-to-be in Los Angeles.
